I’m getting old - loop earplugs
As I get older I am noticing more and more that it’s loud out there! Dutch Bros will be bumpin’ at 7:30 in the morning…that’s too early for someone who has not had coffee yet. I have even started wearing earplugs to Orange Theory.
At first I was using the foam ones that you roll and shove in your ear, but after a while they would give me a headache from the pressure in my ear. They also muffled everything which is good for noise but not when I’m trying to have a conversation with someone next to me.
Enter: Loop earplugs. I had seen these online and was always curious about them. I bought the “experience” version. These claim to filter sound and take the edge off with an NRR of about 7dB. These are great for concerts and anywhere that is loud but you still want to hear what is going on and be able to hear people talk. They come with 4 sizes of silicone ear tips and are reusable up to 5 years. My favorite part about these is the carrying case you can hook onto your keys.
Now I wear them to Orange Theory classes, at dance competitions (that music gets loud), restaurants, when the kids are too loud. The list goes on.
Want to try them for yourself?
Loop experience - my fave for everyday
Loop quiet - I have these too and they are good for sleeping. They are all silicone and soft and bendable.
Loop switch - I have not tried these but you can switch how much noise filtering you want with these. Kind of like a 3-in-1 situation.
